Arthur Douglas Hanlon/Hanlan was born 1894, Salford . The son of John William born 1858 Ireland and Rose born 1858 Leigh, Worcestershire. Siblings , Robert G 1886 Manchester, E. Constance 1890 Manchester, Hilda 1894/5 Salford, Gladys 1897 Salford.
Hanlon attested 25 May 1917, and joined the service 1st June 1917. He had auburn hair and a 34 inch chest. He definately wore spectacles as they were forwarded to him on the 8th September 1917 when he was stationed with the Anti Aircraft Depot(?) at ???tall Heath Abbey Wood.
He was admitted to the 4th Northern General Hospital, Lincoln on 15th February 1919, complaining of pains in the head and back and great weakness. His condition deteriorated and he died at 2.30pm on the 20th Febuary 1919. Cause of death Influenza and Pneumonia.
